Integrity MARC Directives

A library of Marc directives is available from Integrity Services that allows one or more of a group of functions. The Marc entry point (or call) to a directive library is a facility supported by Unisys. This library, like any library, acts as an extension of the system software which calls or links to it. Therefore the library should be protected as a locked task so that a DS has no effect. If it is DSed, Marc and Coms will also be DSed. The Marc Directives available in this library are:

1. Limited (read only) ODT commands available to everyone.
2. Prevent Run and Start commands for all non-systemuser and non-privileged users
or Allow Run and Start commands for all non-commandcapable users.
3. Security and dialog information for a station's current session.
4. Eliminate the Quit Coms command for all Marc stations.
5. Eliminate the use of the Go command for non-systemuser and non-privileged users.
6. Allow News command for all non-commandcapable users.
7. Allow WFL Print for non-commandcapable users.

You may have one or more of these directives active at any time. Marc Directives are retained over halt loads. A directive library will thaw or go to end of task when all functions have been de-installed, so that a graceful shutdown can be done without DSing Marc and Coms. The syntax for the installation and de-installation of directives follows:
